Spring’s New Look – Florals & Prints

Not sure how to wear the new bold prints and pretty florals?  Follow these rules and you won’t go wrong!

Remember – the smaller the pattern, the smaller YOU look.  The larger the pattern, the larger you will look.  SO – Use this to your advantage!

If you’re the classic English Pear wear your patterns on your top half.  You can get away with large bold prints above the waist, so go for it!

Keep your bottom half in small print, or go for a block colour in one of this Spring’s lovely bold shades. A pretty floral shirt will look lovely with this season’s Capri Pants in a ‘zesty shade’.

The recent resurgence of palazzo pants provide the perfect shape for those of us prone to carry our weight on our hips and bottoms.  The lovely drapey fabric covers a multitude of sins, and creates vertical lines slimming your bottom half beautifully.

If you’re blessed with a heavier top-half reverse the trend!  Look for dresses with plain tops and bold detail below the hips.

This pretty floral top is perfect for heavier busts, small patterns minimise the area and the crossover style gives you the best shape possible.

The prints are absolutely gorgeous this year.  Not only do we have the lovely florals but there are birds, aztec and abstract patterns – something for everyone’s taste.

If you’re not brave enough to go the whole way with pattern, then just add a scarf or a handbag to bring your outfit up to date!
